Considering the importance of the Supply Chain Management - I have been offered to redesign and streamline the end-to-end supply chain of Shan Foods, UAE.Currently, I am working on following areas;1. Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP): Integrate the Company’s Operations with Sales (Retail & HORECA) Internal Operational Plan (IOP) Resource Planning (Man, Machine) Demand Driven Production Planning (DDPP) Demand Driven Material Requirement Planning (DDMRP) Logistics and Warehouse Management2. Internal Operational Plan (IOP): Devise Annual Internal Operational Plan (IOP) based upon Sales Annual Operational Plan (AOP) Perform Capacity Analyses – identify potential bottle-necks and suggest & approve CAPEX for the next year Devise Annual Supply Chain Management Strategy – covering Production, Procurement, Logistics & Warehousing Strategies3. Resource Planning: Short-term and long-term resource planning based upon IOP4. Demand Driven Production Planning (DDPP): Based upon the rolling sales forecast (RSF), actual orders, re-order points (ROP), and Annual Production Strategy – devise weekly frozen production plans (Processing & Packing)5. Demand Driven Material Requirement Planning (DDMRP): Based upon the rolling sales forecast, actual orders, re-order points (ROP), and Annual Procurement Strategy – Issue Monthly and Quarterly demand driven material requirement plans6. Logistics and Warehouse Management

In contemporary business environment of Pakistan, successful implementation of Supply Chain Management Practices have tremendous impact on the performance of an organization. Considering the need of the time, I was offered the opportunity to introduce, implement and continue with the Supply Chain Management Practices. As a Supply Chain Manager, I was responsible to manage and improve planning, purchasing, production, transportation, warehousing and distribution systems to enhance the customer\'s service level, lowering total cost of ownership and finally yield superior market and financial performances.
Some Key Job Duties are;
1. Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP):
Integrate the Company\'s Operations with Sales
Sales Forecasting
Resource Planning (Man, Machine)
Demand Driven Production Planning (DDPP)
Demand Driven Material Requirement Planning (DDMRP)
Logistics and Warehouse Management
2. Sales Forecasting:
Forecast yearly, quarterly and monthly demand of a portfolio of around 1200 items / shades of 10 product families
Suggest product and market wise yearly, quarterly, and monthly sales targets
Define and maintain re-order points (ROP) of every single item
3. Resource Planning:
Short term and long term resource planning
Short term planning includes, man-power, machine planning, number of shifts, overtime schedules etc.
Long term planning includes, investment in machine capacity, hiring and lay-offs etc.
4. Demand Driven Production Planning (DDPP):
Based upon the sales forecasting, re-order points (ROP), and current stock levels, weekly production and packing plans of each product family are devise
Facilitate Production, Quality Control, Packing, Logistics & Warehouse Departments, to ensure production, as per weekly production plans
5. Demand Driven Material Requirement Planning (DDMRP):
Based upon the sales forecasting, yearly, quarterly, monthly, and weekly material requirement plans are devise
These plans facilitate material purchase agreements and material delivery schedules
6. Logistics and Warehouse Management:
Logistics contracts
Redesigned the finished goods and raw material warehouses to enhance the space utilization and work efficiency
Distribution management and route optimization
Palletized movements of goods
Cross docking and consolidated shipments
Develop and / or revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve on time in full (OTIF) rate
Regular stock taking
Implementation of first in first out (FIFO) Policy in warehouses
Overall warehouse safety
